I just downloaded a really nice and free guitar tuner android app the other day called gStrings Free. Unlike many tuner apps that just play a note for you to tune by ear too, this one actually works like a tuner...you play the note and it tells you if it's in tune.

Thanks, Brett
However I get Ultimate Guitar Tools app. Cause it includes 2 tuners -Chromatic and Brain. And also has Metronome and Chords Library. For me, as for beginner, is the best app ever!

I saw the GoGo at my local store and thought it looked cool. It sounds like a good replacement for my Snark. I can't read the thing!

I have the Korg GA-30 and it does the job quite nicely. Good price too, so it's pretty much perfect.

I'd like to add that I'm also a long time fan of Korg tuners. I just found that the PT2 didn't work well for me.

I really like the idea of a vibration tuner. Does anyone have any suggestions on other types of vibration tuners on the market that might work better than the PT2?

Intellitouch PT2 Tuner

I played in a guitar orchestra for 2 1/2 years, and I used PT2 tuners because they were supplied to the orchestra for free as needed.

I must have gone through 5-6 PT2 tuners in that time. I thought maybe they just didn't pick up vibrations well on classical guitars, but to tell the truth, I never could get them to work sufficiently on any of my 12 guitars.

I'll list some my guitars, Taylor 514CE, Ramirez 1a, Custom Shop Les Paul, Eric Clapton Strat, Carvin fretless bass, and so on. I'm stating this because I think it should be noted, at least for me, I found this tuner to be unreliable on all types of guitars.
