I took the liberty of making up this guitar fretboard note chart as an aid for learning the guitar fretboard. I couldn’t find many good ones out there that laid it all out so I made my own! I made this fretboard note chart up to the 20th fret. Use this for reference or to aid memorization of the fretboard. Hope this helps you!
If you are wanting to fully grasp and learn the guitar fretboard…
Learning the guitar fretboard is not just about memorizing each and every note. More importantly, it is about learning how those notes interact and relate with one another. I’ve reviewed some real quality online guitar lessons from very experienced guitar players that can help you with just that. Check ‘em out here.
I mention this because, if you’re wanting to have a complete grasp of the guitar fretboard, I highly suggest to you some type of guitar training from a teacher or professional that can really break the guitar fretboard down to you in an easy to understand way. The good news is, you can do this online!

“I couldn’t find many good ones out there that laid it all out so I made my own!” Maybe that is the best way to learn the fret board?
I have seen one FretBoard mapping as nice as this one, but you bring up a good point: Reinforce By Doing. While you are sharing a great lesson, maybe we need to create our own…and learn.
Mike - You bring up a great point.
Lately, I’m finding it’s also very helpful to quiz myself when it comes to the really “heady” stuff of playing the guitar. I find that this really helps to reinforce what I’m learning and make it stick. As you said, “reinforce by doing.”
